RaShaunda and Melvin, founders of The InTune Mother Society, designed SOIL on the basis of integrated concepts that have been created, out of the desire to introduce their (seeds), to the importance of cultural capital at an early age. There are five elements that focus on these and they are: Environment, Education, Entrepreneurship, Economics, and Empowerment. Through a creative 36 week thematic program called “The APLHA Experience." We provide learning experiences for grades PreK-12.
Our independent learning platform is based upon each child's learning style and willingness to engage in reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, art, music, technology, health, and sports. Here we have developed an experiential based platform that identifies: Active Learning and Practice of Homeschool Application (ALPHA).
The goal for the children that attend our virtual academy is to learn how to be socially independent, creatively inspired, and academically confident. The children that attend SOIL GrassRoots Academy experience all these and advanced technology through our integrated "STREAM" program.
At SOIL we chose a different approach. We share life-long experiences, with the families that we serve. Here we see that children learn best when engaged by understanding the frequency of PreK-12 learning environments as a formative lifestyle. Our “seeds” learn by deliberate research of alphasyllabary.
We explore the origins of how letters were formed and how they evolved the world around us. In turn creating words, songs, pledges, and affirmations that we connect to through cultural and symbolic recognition. These are the attributes to our linguistic roots. Such a broad education is a way of life at SOIL and a rich cultural experience from our homeschooling family to yours.
